The Marlowe at The Merritt

The Merritt is a new 7-storey apartment building in Welland, featuring 123 residential units. The building includes resident-focused amenities such as basement storage lockers, a fitness room, lounge, mail room, and an amenity space planned for a yoga studio and billiards room.

Kraun completed installed the building’s main power distribution, backup power, lighting, fire alarm, heating, and site electrical systems. Specifically, a 1000A, 600V, 3-phase, 4-wire switchboard fed from a hydro-supplied pad-mounted transformer, along with distribution panels, suite panels, transformers, disconnects, and related equipment throughout the building.

The project also included a 130kW, 600V natural gas generator, site lighting, interior light fixtures, emergency lighting, lighting controls, a complete single-stage fire alarm system, baseboard and fan-forced heaters, and seismic controls
